This training will teach you functional movement to progress through the asana or physical practice of yoga with safety. This does not mean that the asana will necessarily be experienced with ease, but rather, experienced with applied awareness of your body’s needs, capacity and areas for moving beyond its current limitations. The training course will teach you how to apply the use of yoga props, such as blankets, blocks, straps and chairs, to support your own practice, as well as students, to build a safe asana practice. When and how to use these props will be taught when teaching beginner’s and women who are pregnant, menstruating or moving through their menopausal years. The knowledge gained during this training course will also assist in supporting students with medium level injuries such as knee, back and shoulder pain. |
